  1. this morning i was 18-tabling the $27s on stars, and the power went out.

anyone have a recommended product to buy to keep me online with power on for 45 minutes or so, should this happen again?

    thanks!

  2. The more you pay the longer time you get when the power goes out..
mine cost $100 and it gives me 27 minutes,
    pc and moniter..

    good luck
  3. backup internet connection can be even more important imo
  4. was gonna mention that.

if power goes out and so does your internet / modem, you are out of luck even with extra power on the pc.
  5. You can back up your cable modems power and be ok as long as the cable company themselves dont go out :) You can also chain the power supplies in series and add time.
  6. If you want ti get really serious, a bunch of cellular providers have wireless internet cards now. They aren't that expensive either.
  7. First thing that comes to my mind is a laptop, but you still need backup power for the modem regarldess. The more devices you have on the backup, the faster you will use it up. It also has to be instantaneous, and as noted if your internet access is down then it will not matter.

I have a backup PC sharing my router in case the primary crashes, have found that a much more useful thing to have then worrying about a power outage.
  8. my number 1 fear!!!!
  9. I have an APC and it is like 90 minutes of battery time. It was about $80 but I got it on clearance from and Office Max that was being closed. I have my computer, modem, and router plugged into a surge suppressor and that is plugged into the battery backup. I have had the eletricity go out while playing and I have been able to play through the power outtage.
