  1. I see people posting about struggles late in tournaments, and one thing that usually gets thrown out there is that they need to resteal more. I just finished a tourney and found myself wondering, what is the definition of resteal? Is it any reraise/3-bet/whatever you want to call it, or is it actually a steal? Is reraising with what you expect to be best a resteal, or is it just a value play?

Cliff notes: Is it still a resteal if you actually have a good hand, or only when you do it with something marginal?
  2. I believe a steal or resteal is a bet to take down the pot preflop no matter what you're holding. I'm not positive though.

  3. lol you aren't positive? I think your record indicates that you know what a resteal is lol...
  4. yeah, a resteal is reraising someones raise based on the player rather than the cards... (imo). for example, someone at the table is opening like 30% of pots and everyone is folding to him. u dont want to call with a hand like a6 in the sb because if u miss on the flop and miss ur giving up chips too easily. instead, u reraise him or push. this does 2 things: a) this puts the pressure on him to make a tough decision and b) u are most likely ahead of him at this point.
  5. Tipsy I think I played with you in that full tilt 16k or whatever it was last night. You had a nice stack, how'd it end up?
