    I flopped a nut flush, some idiot flopped a set.

    He check/called me all the way and the board paired to make his boat.

    My friend says I played it like a donk.
    I say moron with a set was the donk.

    Who wins?

    (Steak dinner and a six pack on the line :-)

    Depends on how deep you were/where you were at in the mtt, etc. But if he c/c river with a boat, he's prolly really bad, unlesss the board was like 98875 and he has 55 or something (where he kind of has an underfull)...but still, he prolly did obviously.

    on the river once the board pair u have to take into account that a fh is possible..did u bet the river all-in and he called if so u donked..if you checked the river after board pairing and he went all-in ur still a donk lol..
    this whole question depends on pot odds for the other guy and how much u bet..if you bet small amounts to let him call cheap u r a donk..if u bet big and didnt give him pot odds to call he is the donk..
    so it all depends on the bet sizes u made..tell us and we can tell you if u donked or not

    Sorry it was actually a cash game pot limit cap, he just sat down and I pretty much was betting pot(or close 2 it) and I capped it on the river.

    He had AsAh
    board cam AJ4 diamonds and I had KdQd

    he flopped aaa set u know he isnt going anywhere period...with cap anyway...no donk play on either side except maybe your pre-flop call depending on his bet but probably a draw so go dutch with your boyfreind lmao..and enjoy.. jk

    we first of all i was just kidding but u want the brutal truth here it is..you call a guy an idiot for flopping a set while he is holding aces and u r holding kq..now the honest truth is that you are the idiot not him..and all my responces were informative and educational for anyone with half a brain that read them and focussed on what was being said not just the joke at the end obv. you didnt .. as for calling players idiots after you learn to stop doing that it will be your first step to being a better poker player

    We need to see the whole hand history to get exact bet sizes and stacks (from preflop raises to size of the bets he check/called). But basically, I doubt that you would be able to get someone off top set with only a 3 flush on board and no realistic straight draws.

    do you really think your oppenent can ONLY put you on a flush? you cant possible have AJ or an A with the k of diamonds right? a smaller set?? NO WAY MAN YOUR RANGE IS THE NUTS AND THE NUTS ONLY.

    get real man. it was a cooler, it happens, move on. If its that big of a deal to you im thinking maybe youre underolled to be playing whatever stakes you were playingh

    Without seeing the hand history, I would guess that both likely played it just fine.

    Seriously, like...it's like possible and stuff for two people to play a hand equally good or bad.
