  1. <SPAN class=postbody>To sum it up I knew darn well the villian was likely to reraise me from the BB with nothing but air and he did.

My read on this guy was really strong and I almost shipped this prior to the flop but I figured I should see the flop and give myself a chance to get away if it wasn't favorable. That may well have been my mistake but it is the path I chose on this hand.

The flop was not bad for me and it gets checks from the villian. Given my stack size I'm pretty much pot committed by making any decent bet at the pot and felt I would have to call if the villian check raised me so given all my outs I saw this as a shove.

Of course with no hesitation at all the villian insta calls with Q5 on the flop for top pair and crap kicker. I never make my straight or flush and poof I'm gone.

Was the line I took on this hand correct?

Should I have taken a free card to see the turn?

  5. i cna get really drunk if you want and then offer advice...ill do it antyways but oh well
  6. ide rather fold/shove pre, but i mean thats pretty much the best flop your gonna get so obv get it in.
  7. 4bet or fold pre
  8. Damage

you pretty much hit the nail on the head of what I regretted most. While I was trying to mix things up a bit with my preflop raises in this spot I should have raised at least 3.4 -4x's and might have avoided the whole mess.

On the other hand the villian in this case is very pissy about their blinds and I've seen them on sevral occasions shove back with junk and be willing to exit early just for the sake of defending their blinds with a bad hand.

Still I should have raised more
