  1. Is anybody playing in this?

    Do I need to pre-register?

Seems to me like it should sell out, don't want to risk it.
How is the Winstar poker room?

  2. what city is it in where?
  3. Thackerville OK, on the border, just over an hour north of Dallas.

I played in the $440 satellite Sunday after I got back from WSOP, and won a $2100 seat. I'm playing the opening day on Tuesday. Only negative is it conflicts with the Legends of Poker Main Event if you make it to the second day.

Play in the satellites was absolutely terrible, and I suspect it will be pretty weak in the Event itself as well. Prize pool is $3mm, with 1st getting $630k.

If you are not playing a satellite, I would recommend going ahead and registering now. It is capped at 1,500 and it will be sold out sometime before the opening date.

Winstar poker room is nice, renovated, and large. However, the tourney may be in their ballroom/event hall. Should be good cash games in the poker room that week.

  4. The Winstar poker room is really nice. I would play in one of the mega satelites for sure for 440.00. They are super soft.

Winstar has came a long way with their tournaments over the last few years. They do a great job.

  5. Their Main Event is having 40 minute levels, isnt this a turbo format?
