    Wow, they spent like 20 minutes tearing into Rizen on pokerroad about being a nobody and signing with a terrible site. I know voulgaris is known for being a bit of an asshole but this sorta tilted me.

    Rizen is a great player and seems like an even better person. Some people feel better by putting others down, but it seems to me that Rizen would not be worried playing against him.

    I just listened to the section that OP was talking about and IMO OP is hearing things. The dude pretty much just said that he doesn't know who Rizen is and doesn't understand why he would sign with UB.

    i dont think they rippped into him that bad at all....they simply said they didnt know who he was...big deal...and they are right about UB, they go out and sign 2 big online pros and everything is suppose to be all good...tbh i did deposit on UB recently because i noticed how many pros do play there(and bodog went to shit) but im not going ot have a significant amount of money on there until i feel a little better about the situation...idk what ot think about it buti definintely dont think they were 'tearing into rizen'

    Doesnt suprise me one bit, two years ago I was walking through the Bellagio poker room seeing what limits were at which tables and glanced @ a high stakes nlh table. Voulgaris, sitting in the 1 seat turns around and proceeds to yell @ me for no reason @ all. Telling me, "you cant watch this game." Keep in mind this wasnt in any particular room, just the open poker room floor. He is a complete asswipe with zero class IMO.

    Voulgaris is the man. Funniest guy on Pokerroad by far. Who cares if they were trashing Rizen's affiliation with UB. Part of doing a radio show is sometimes having controversial opinions about stuff, and saying funny shit that gets people talking.

    Voulgaris, or "Bob," as he is called on his show, as always come off to me as an extremely self-indulgent know-it-all. When the other dude was trying to talk about Rizen he just kept saying, "I don't care, I don't care, I don't care. Annie Duke? I don't care." Dude it's a talk show--one of the things you are supposed to do is TALK. If you just keep saying how much you don't care, that doesn't make for a very entertaining talk show.

    That said, in this case I don't think he really badmouthed Rizen too much...just emphasized how little he cared that Rizen is now with UB and that he didn't really know who he was.

    Oh, but he DID make it a point to say on the air how much he cashed out for on UB...talk about a total lack of class.

    This is massively overstated. I heard the comments. He is commenting on UB's management thinking that adding Bax and Rizen could solve UB's 30 million dollar problem (alluding to the fact that 30 million is what he expect the losses to be when its all said and done)

    Lets just hope he's right. Go BOB!

    obviously the national hero part is a joke. but to say that betting your whole lifes savings on the lakers to win the championship to get your bankroll isnt awesome, would just be silly. its quite possibly the most badass, ballsy, and degen thing a person could do. and for that, i tip my cap to him.

    also, a friend of mine bet 50 dollars on the celtics at 300/1 before they got Garnett and now he's 2 wins away from a 15k payoff lol. when sports betting goes right!

    Maybe not as baller, but one of the most baller things I've seen is in the 2k euro prelim in Monte Carlo, lilholdem had run bad in a bunch of big pots but was still in good shape at dinner break and just decided not to come back

    OP is dumb, Bob is the man, he is one of the few out there who actually understands how shitty of a business UB has been over the past 5 years.

    I think every point he brought up was a valid arguement about why in the hell would this guy sign with UB.

    Really who is Rizen anyway? I hear his name on the boards, so he can play well on the internet obv. but besides that I couldn't pick the guy out of a police line.
