Has anyone compared a large sample size to see the difference in their ITM% and ROI% in 18-seaters vs. 9-seaters? I know the ITM% will drop drastically because in the 18ers only 4 places play (22%) and 9ers top 3 pays (33%). But I would be interested to see the difference in the ROI%. I would presume that this would be noticably higher in the 18ers.
Also, what are some ideas on the BR requirements as they relate to playing only 18ers as opposed to 9ers. Due to the larger variance in cashes, how many buy-ins would you suggest for playing the larger field SNG's? 30 buy-ins for an 18-person SNG exclusive BR? -
Ever notice that poker talk is slowly becoming it's own nerdy language? Just read the above post again. If you didn't know anything about poker, it would be like you were reading Spanish right there. Just an observation.
And to answer your query, I simply don't know.
(And if I hear one more person use this language in normal, everyday conversation, I'm going to pump my ass full of chocolate. I was with a friend who said the other day, "I think going to Wendy's and spending a little more money and getting more food to fill up my stomach is better than going to McDonalds and not getting as much quantity. I think Wendy's is definitely +EV."
I was this close to punching him. This close.) -
I much prefer 18-SNGs to 9-SNGs, so my sample size is much larger for the 18s. I've found that my ITM% is about the same (or w/in a few pct.) between 9s and 18s of the same buyin. But my ROI for the 18s is much higher, which coincidentally is the same reason why I like the 18s more.
Could just be me.
