This is an excerpt from his recent blog on cardplayer:
"<span>Last night I played the first FTOP's event and was amazed to see almost 6,000 players. The first hand I played I flopped the nut straight from late position against the big blind heads up. He unfortunately flopped a flush. When you are heads up it is hard to put your opponent on a flush even with three to a flush on board. I put him on a pair with a draw to a flush. No more flush cards came and off went most of my chips. I know everyone says it only seems like you get the really sick bad beats and coolers online and it's only because you see more hands, but still, on the third hand dealt to me flopping the nut straight against the queen high flush seems a little suspect.<span>"</span></span>
<span><span>A man intelligent enough to be an M.D. prior to playing poker surely can't be stupid enough to publish in his public blog that he believes online poker, more specifically the site that he is SPONSORED by is rigged, can he? Is him paying 3 streets with a straight vs a flopped flush really testament to the fact online poker is rigged? Surely if Roy Winston, a RED PRO says it is this is something to take notice of!</span></span>
<span><span>Honestly, how does this person get put in red?
</span></span> -
lol, roy runs so bad i wouldn't be surprised he would say that...he jokes about it a lot on the tables but he might wanna go edit that post -_-.

Perhaps I am making a big deal out of nothing, but the fact that this man is intelligent enough to get an M.D. scares me. Online poker is rigged because I am a pay down wizard and nobody should ever flop a flush when I flop a straight ORLY roy?
For them taking as much flack as they do for over hiring red pro's, I think we have just found the weakest link that they could cut off. How can you be so stupid as to a) believe online poker is rigged against you because you flopped a straight vs a flush, b) believe that the site that sponsors you would ever rig it against you and c) publicly out the company that pays you for possibly being rigged in a public forum.
It is honestly sad. -
Of course he's in RED-He's "THE ORACLE"
LOL !!!! -
How exactly do you become a ftp red pro? Do you just win a wsop bracelet and have decent results online, then boom, red name? Cuz once I win a plo8 or L08 wsop event in 2011, I surely would love 100% rakeback from all my omaha h/l cash games, especially on my new table, Aquaholik 100/200 mix pot limit and limit
-
lol what an embarrassment this guy is
-
lol, I agree. I should have clarified my post a lot better. I didn't mean to say that this hand in particular was him running bad, nor did I want to imply that I thought he was good =p.

He is like you said, a mediocre player...but I have seen him take some sick beats quite often...maybe they lead him to playing bad...and saying stupid things on his blog...but it's probably the other way around. :)
Regardless, I would rather see you, and a lot of these other guys as red pros tbh. -
he has played beyond bad at some of the tables i've played with him at as well.
-
ive never met or played with the guy but everyone i know has a "Roy Winston is so fkin terrible story"...and after i listen to the story i always agree

lol, MDs are not as universally "intelligent" as you think. -
He's a nice dude and i've talked to him earlier this year, but man I read this on CP and lol'ed. His most -EV decision was quitting his posh day job imo. Wonder how he does at Commerce day2day.

Nicely done Stu! Maybe FT in addition to giving you your buy-in back should give you his pro status too...
