    Pocketfivers!!! Listen, if your poker account is any way linked to yahoo email then go in and change your primary email to another server. YAHOO will comprimise your info and by the time you wake up youll be broke!!! I am seardching for anyone that this has happened to please respond withthe steps you tok to get your money traced!!!! PLEASE

    this shit just happend to me. it's why i am icudonk on ftp now instead of icufish. someone got into my yahoo email changed all of my info got into my epass and robbed me by putting everything i had in there on Cake Poker.

    I immd contacted Cake and had my epass account frozen. Cake is taking a while to get back to me and i have asked several times what the deal is? which user used my epass account? I do not have a Cake poker account.

    Anyway i hope you ar able to get that money back. But yahoo is obv way easy to get into

    i have a yahoo account but dont use epassprt. I use paytru but none of the info is in my emaill account. Am I safe?

    well i was lucky i cught it right away and my poker account was frozen before they could get much money out of it.. but the epass i notcied a couple days after the transfers went out.. and they got into that a couple weeks later.. i am still going through the process with cake gaming and epass to retrieve my stolen funds

    Can anyone recommend another email account? Ive heard gmails supposed to be pretty good, but dont know anything about its security.

    Im about 99.999999% sure it was a keylogger/hacker and not yahoo. did you download anything suspicious recently? Thats usually where it comes from.

    I'm with Admiral on this , keylogger for certain. The only other exception is that we should not attempt to tie this type of hack into something unfamiliar that you may have downloaded recently. Browser scripts are quite capable of this type of thing. In other words the information that we gather from SCOPE and DB or Official is the door that we open to various browser scripting technologies. Using alternative browsers like Opera or Firefox doesnt necessarily help anything. This has probably nothing to do with your Yahoo account.

    The perils of online poker are almost unavoidable. The real downside is that these hacks are not limited to big money players. Online integrity is still just a dream.

    I just use a different email for poker from other things, and tell absolutely NOBODY about my poker email.

    if they Know your log in name on the pokersite and break in to your email, they can get your NEW password from the pokersite to the hacked email. After they just log in with the new passwd to your poker account. really weak protection by pokersites...They should contact you by phone at least before send any details to an email, what is easy to hack.

    Anyone who uses a yahoo email for poker would be stupid. Back when i use to play yahoo pool aorund 10 years ago ppl use to steal people's id's by cracking their passwords with a list of 1000's of potential pw's that people would use. It was a big thing in yahoo pool since no name could be made with capital letters, underscores, or anything of that sort after 1997 or some year around that.
    So i'm guessing if ppl can find out your yahoo email address it wouldnt be that hard to get these pw lists to get your pw sent back to that email for your poker account.
