i was talking to the rainkhan (stars pro so he has some pull) at the wsop today and i suggested to him that having more 2day events for scoops/wcoops might be a good thing. one of the more unfortunate scenarios that seemed to be happening a lot during the scoops was that going deep in an event would usually kill ones schedule/plans for at least the next day. 2day events would allow players to get proper rest and restart the next day with the opportunity to load that days schedule as well which could increase traffic. im not sure how recreational players would feel about having more 2day events, however. thoughts?

AGREE, I got top 100 in both a $100 fo and a $10 fo scoop event but didn't FT, so i grinded until 8am for a couple hundred bucks profit, made me stop playing the rest of those events for the whole series because it's just too long to play poker for one session, especially considering how little you make unless you get to the final table

Agree for sure, I mean I don't even get excited for SCOOP/WCOOP anymore. I guess I'm the only one but playing for like 28 hours straight seems horrible to me

I think stars will step up this WCOOP and fix the issue... BryanS is a gem and will make things right.

Anyone else feel a bit hypocritical for complaining about a structure being too good, though? I sure do. So hard to find a happy medium. -
agree, especially 2 day events that start on saturdays

personally i like the tournaments that take 18 hours that start at 6 and end at 3 or 4 the next day during finals week of most schools causing degen ginders/students to make the decision of going to their final or finishing out the tournament which obv they'll finish out the tournament but they shouldnt have even registered because they knew the ft was going to interfere with the final but at that point who cares because the monies worth it but what if you get ninth for like 17k and you want to die because you failed out of school for 17k so y not just change some of those tournaments to 2days as well as not having them during fkn finals week of most colleges, a kid can only take so much addy for cryin out loud jesus

While I agree with you that this is way better for the pros who can play every day and not worry about other stuff, I think the bolded part is the reason it hasn't happened. That being said, if an event is going to start at say 4:30 PM EST and go for like 20 hours then there isn't a HUGE difference from making it two days. The difference is all of the people who will bust out at like 2 to 6 AM and can still drag themselves to work the next day. Obviously this is not an "easy" decision for the site though.

This I'm a recreational player and made day two of the $22 SCOOP. I played poker til 6:00am showered went to work at 7:00. Left work at 11:00 got as much sleep as I could before day 2 started. It kind of sucked but I loved the structure and would have rather done it that way then playing another 4-5 hours that morning. A chance at $50k is more enough reason to call into or leave work early.
