Closing in on all time money leader. When I think of top players i don't really think of Scotty but he has basically done everything in poker, thoughts?

I agree...altho the guy is a big dbag at times, he is a legend of poker, and plays all the games well (obviously). So, although most of us drink the hatorade and he has a horrible attitude towards players, dealers, etc at a few points, he's def someone we can all look up to. In his interviews, he always talks bout forgetting the money, and just wants to win, do shit for the fans, and all that jazz. So, altho I had his ego/attitude, it helps him win. Def gonna be a big year for him, and winning this would just make it even sicker.

Give him a break. Everyone has been drunk and made a fool of themselves on more than one occasion. The only difference between Scotty and the people that judge him is the fact that Scotty's behavior happened to be televised. He has apologized and needs to be forgiven. He truly is one of the all time greats.

yeah, who hasn't gotten wasted and acted like a complete dick to everyone while playing for millions of dollars and being filmed for national television? such an honest mistake, i do it at least once a week.

i know this might sound corney to some of you, but 7 years ago when I was cutting my teeth at TS(turning stone) casino and they had their 10k buy-in american poker championship, I was playing blackjack with a friend and scotty was at our table killing some time. He was a truly nice guy and even passed some redbirds to my buddy when he busted so he could keep playing...what you saw at the HORSE event(thanks in part to ESPN's great editing) was about 2% of how Scotty really is. Anyone who has followed him and interacted with him knows this. and there is no denying his skill. Again the cliche is you play the man not the cards in NLHE, well scotty actually does it, more so, and better then a lot of his peers.

Sure we would give him a break if it was a one time thing. But every tourney I read a post about what kind of a$$hole he is to other players. If you are that good of a player you don't need to act like a dick to other players to beat them. But then again before the horse he was basically busto so that might of had a little to do with his antics(along with the 14 beers and being 120 pounds)

Most of the people who have actually played with scotty will tell you scotty is a huge dick 90% of the time. And the more scotty drinks the bigger of a dick he is. A friend of mine was on the ft bubble of a bellagio event with scotty. Scotty raised he flatted kk flop came Q high they got it in scotty had aq rivers a q to bust him. My friend gets up to leave and scotty starts berating him yelling to everyone about how bad this kid is and how he misplayed his hand and thats what he gets for trying to trap scotty. And this kind of thing is not uncommon at all I see scotty do shit like this in half the tourneys he plays. So his wsop horse antics are by no means an isolated incident he acts like that pretty much every single time he gets drunk.

And in terms of skill, scotty sucks he generally just plays like a huge nit and when hes not nitting it up hes spewy. There are very few people who have ran higher above expectation lifetime than scotty.

He has a mullett I mean what other type of behavior would you expect?

Seriously, every single fucking one of these threads should be locked and deleted on sight because every one follows the same template. While I certainly don't condone Scotty's actions/behavior, to not respect his accomplishments is absurd. That the flaming comes from people who haven't accomplished a fraction of what he has is even more absurd. The self-delusion is just awesome; apparently it's better to be an online donkamenter with a couple nice scores and who 100 people outside of family/forums have no idea who they are than to have multiple live wins over 2 decades and 8 figures in cashes...whatever.

And for mig to say anyone else runs above expectation, oh the ironing. No question you've got game but come on, seriously.

He's annoying but generally a winning player. One of those guys you would love to beat but never seem to be able to.

I agree with some OP's on here this is why it's hard to take this forum seriously..but if I continue to voice my opinion I will get banhammered.. It is real funny that everyone outside of P5's can't play poker... If it is class that you are looking for maybe some of you should show some...
And yes MOD this does contribute to the discussion some posters here need to think before they post they sound like a 12yr old pimple face douchebag..
