Do I fold here or push?
or flatcall? but I think flatcalling is kind of bad, cause I'm putting to much of my stack PF in the pot.
What do you think? -
Why did you flat the min-raise & invite calls? When UTG min-raised with AKo you should have been the one to pop it. there are good arguments to be made for both flatting and raising (I know the bulk of the comments will say raise or push).
For flatting:
You flatted once & this will close the action - you can see a flop & dump it cheep the 2/3s of the time when you miss. Because you played it so weak so far you're well hidden & you'll get more chips in when you hit. You have to do this sometimes, just like you have to play trash strong sometimes to keep the table guessing.
For raising/pushing:
You get more chips in with a premium hand. You may get to take the pot down now, with action already being raise/call/reraise/call thats no way certian. Even if you don't take it right here you may also isolate, also not certian, and if so its mostly the reraiser so you end up OOP anyway.
I like the raise rather than the push because the raise you are basicly saying you are looking for action, but only one player. The push is such a big overbet you are saying just go away - its actualy a weaker bet. Either way you end up commited, its 100 to call & 320 in now the raise would be something like 500 to go so if a push comes back you are looking at ~2:1 - easy call & correct math even facing KK.
If I thought a raise/push would generate some real FE I would say auto raise but as is overall I think its 50/50 flatting & raising so flip a coin.
my 2 cents
[edit]
NEVER fold - AKo getting 3.2:1 on a call at least see a flop -
It's so early in the tourney, why wouldn't you gamble? Shove all-in and try for a double up.
-
At the 10$ stakes I rarely respect/give credit to the min raise ever especially if it is at the first level of the tournament. I would probably pop his min raise of 40 to around 150 or 160 probably capping the raise at 4x over his original raise, by doing this you not only take control of the pot but you also show that you have a strong hand and the min. raise will not be tolerated. If he decides to 4 bet you ship it in and hope for the best because you can't be folding AK at these stakes unless under the most bizarre circumstances, so in all likelyhood your AK is the best hand and you should be in line for an early double.
