  1. Ok, since I've been flamed for this idea several times, and the definition of a short-stack has changed a little since I started learning, I'd like people's opinions on what the limits of set-mining are in relation to the number of BB's you have left.

I've always been under the impression that set-mining can be done until you are down to roughly 10x BB and having position at the table.

The pairs I've been told to set-mine have ranged from 2-2 to 9-9. I've heard that TT or higher needs to be raised or re-raised given the situation.

So as a student of a game that has found a significant hole in my game (I've been told that anywhere up to 15x, even 20x now is considered short), please enlighten.

Also, please explain when set-mining 2-2 through 9-9 is NOT a good idea.

    Appreciate it all.
  2. when you are getting less than 12-1 on what you could win (implied odds)

and when you are commiting more than 10% of your stack
