    She'll win for sure - those types of non-competes are unenforceable -- you can't prevent someone from earning a living in their chosen vocation.

    yeah if this is true the WPT is really dumb. They will get terrible publicity for this. They are basically trying to keep her from earning a living. She is not directly competing with them in any way.

    She cited not wanting to travel as much as was required by the WPT. Or at least thats what I heard.

    ya, i'm sure it didn't have anything to do with divorcing from the van patten family. the travel OBV IS WHY SHE QUIT.

    I'm surprised they're going to give Annie and Andy that type of marketing material for their lawsuit. Enforcing a non-compete in the middle of a likeness lawsuit is not all that well thought out...

    In time, enough bad press like this will allow another tour to come along and successfully compete with them.

    As a fellow attorney, I am curious why you think these clauses are unenforceable-they are very common-of course, they have to be reasonable (length of time, etc...) but they are vertainly valid

    Shame on the WPT. You will come across this lawsuit in your life. As a human being, you must hope the lawsuit goes through and Shana wins. I would not care if Shana stole, had bad relations, left on bad terms, broke her contract, or left for any other reason. As long as the WPT is not paying her salary, I hope and pray she wins even if she goes to a direct competitor.

    People need to survive in this world. People are not objects or cogs. Unlike the other lawsuit, I hope this one wins.
