I am winning on - party, bodog, and pokerstars, but not FullTilt. I have taken a lot of bad beats on FullTilt over an extended period of time, consequently I am a losing player on that site. Since I am a losing player there, does that mean that I am being targeted even more by other players - sharks and fish, (I can't believe the hands I get called down with, I give them bad odds to draws, you name it, but I continue to run badly on FTP)? I have had the normal sessions where we all have played poorly, but now I'm trying to figure out why I seem to be a donk gambler/magnet. There are a few good regular players who I know I get respect from, inspite of my "numbers". Also, if a session is going poorly - lose all-in KK vs. AQ; lose all-in top set turn vs. flush draw, my session numbers on PAHud show me down, so I'm guessing new players sitting down will target me as well, even though the session's negative results are due to negative variance.
I know, in the long run my percentage favorites will even out - I'm still waiting for that to begin on FTP; but in the short term, I'm guessing my variance will increase as the action against me continues. I can be playing multiple tables on FTP and Stars at the same time, playing the same style, I'll be up on Stars but get sucked out on repeatedly on FTP. This has been going on for three years, in fact, there was a period where I closed my account (International move - new banks, new email, new ISP, Port Authority bill, etc.) during which I played on another player's account and won - like on my other sites. When my account was reopened, with the old negative $ numbers, the bad run picked right up again. "I put you on AK, thought you were overplaying it and my bottom pair 2 kicker was good all-in on the turn" as guy scoops rivered trips vs. my AA is getting old.
Any thoughts? -
