short question re key loggers

    if one's password is already in the sign in sheet, ( a user name and password is already in and all the user has to do to get started is hit the log in button) can a key logger pick discover the info? i'm sure it is discoverable in other ways but i am getting the impression that a keylogging program waits until the password is being typed in. thankyou

    These hackers are probably using a trojan like bo2k (http://www.bo2k.com/) with a custom plugin that detects installed pokersite software. They could easily have other payloads beyond just keylogging. Best to ensure that you're adequately covered with proper firewall and antivirus software instead of resorting to cute tricks like copy+paste or biometrics.

    We've also seen just as many 'thefts' from people who leave these fields auto-populated or are always logged in. All it would take is somebody to walk by or steal your computer to gain access to all your info. The basics of antivirus (Nortons/Mc), spyware (Adaware), software firewall (Zone Alarm/Nortons) & your routers firewall enabled should protect you. Just have both your antivirus & spyware programs auto-run every night while your sleeping.
