This came about in a live tourney, I had been playing with against an aggro sitting 2 spaces to my left for about 6 hours. He had made a number of moves against me and a few other players at the table and made a few loose calls as well. I was the chip leader at the table and he had the second most.
At the start of the hand I had about 68,000 and he had about 60,000. The blinds are 400/800 with a 75ante, and I get dealt QJo to the right of the cut off. It gets folded to me and I raise to 2400 he calls on the button and everyone folded.
Flop comes 3,7,Q rainbow
I bet 4000 and he calls
Turn comes 5
I then checked the turn and he bet 9000
At this point I decided to move all in because a check-raise would have me pot commited, and an all in might look like a bluff to him. Sadly, he snap called with 77 and the inconcequencial K came on the river.
Clearly folding was out of the question, but was this a cooler hand? Should I have bet the turn again? Should I have check-called the turn and grit my teeth to another inevitable river bet? -
I would have folded pf. As played, tough decision. Not sure what I'd do.

Pre-flop and flop are fine.
If he's super-loose, I'd rather check/call the turn, and probably the river. I don't like the check/shove on the turn because:
a) it's a big overshove, unlikely to get called by anything you beat (even by an aggro)...if you let him take the lead, he'll bet with stuff you're ahead of much more than he's calling when you're ahead here
b) aggros make hands sometimes too...if you call 9k on the turn, 15k on the river and lose the hand, you'll still have about 35k. Plenty of play left with 40+ BB. Good spot for pot control. -
What if I check/called the turn and then bet 15k on the river regardless of what card hits? Since an A or K would pretty scary to him and I could get confused calls by worse hands. If I get raised on the river I can be almost certain I'm beat.
