  2. Considering how good you got it in, of course it was fine. With the stupid-big raise and two callers, you can't just stick in a re-raise to 500 or something. The shove is your only option, IMO.

Would you be posting if the ace didn't hit the river?

  3. Im just asking if a min re raise pre flop then a post flop shove after no ace hit might have gotten AQ out of the hand

  4. Prolly, but you didn't ask that question until now.

I think this is results-oriented thinking. You got your money in as a 70% favorite to triple up. Why do you WANT the guy with AQ out of the hand?

In a $6 SNG, when people will pay you off with weak shit (as seen here with AQoff and KJoff)...min-raising is a TERRIBLE leak. Otherwise, you'll sit there making the same "did I do anything wrong?" posts when the flop comes QT3, and someone has QT because you priced them in to calling with a min-raise.

All of that is beside the point. He asked a question, he got my answer, and if he wants to continue being results-oriented, then it's his business.
  7. That's awesome you got all your money in like that. With weirdos early in the tourney raising so big, you can look like a bozo too and pretend you're just shoving for the hell of it.

Only other option is of course a larger raise in which you've invested ~1/3 of your stack, hoping to get some more money in pre and praying for no aces so you can shove the flop.
