    It took them a while, but I think pokerstars handled the Chinese DON collusion issue to my satisfaction. I don' believe that any other site would have rebated the amount of money that Stars did.

    I am just gutted that after recognising some of the names from my brief go of these that stars have got back to me and told me I never Playd against anymore than one of the named cheats at one time. I remember giving these games up as it def felt like some collusion was going on so I would tend to think they never got everyone involved in it but got the main culprits. If you were a farming group of cheats would u ever play alone if you were gonna play together so often as they did anywya?

    i played for like a week back in early 2010 late 2009
    didnt play much, but was cool to get a refund, and if i was a reg in those games i would love stars.

    50 people would prolly be muuuch harder to detect than 2 or 3 because you can do so many combinations of teams

    given the amount of info they have access too, and the fact some one else fig'd it out. i would have to agree, its pretty bad on PS part. especially in DONs.

    Having played a number of DON's with these players and understanding the situations that arise in the structure/bubble in these, it's often really hard to tell the difference between a fish who is just blatantly retarded and doesn't understand the ICM behind the game and makes mistakes (like giving walks when stack sizes say shove any 2 etc) and a cheater giving walks instead of shoving to help a teammate. The same type of plays are hard to tell because a fish makes mistakes like this all the time and so does a cheater. Also the released list of players is pretty extensive and there could obviously be even more of them. So the combos of teams they could put together to make it look like regs playing on different schedules could get pretty tricky. None of us really know how smart they were with money xfers, ip addresses, among other things that would make it easier for stars to pick up. Trust me stars wouldn't want something like a 750k profiting cheating scandal coming out and I feel confident their team does a good job and does the best that they can. And the fact that they refunded players also is A++ on their part.

    I was shocked to see how big scale it was! stars have given me a decent refund, I think they've done a great job....I mean how else were they supposed to handle it?

    My DON results had certainly taken a hit during this time and I often supescted people of cheating but then thought i was being too paranoid and put my results down to increased competition, playing/running bad and probably tilted me off in other games......on the plus side it did make me work on my game more!!

    FWIW if you its hard to spot them - your naturally looking for "dodgy" play between two players but as someone else stated this becomes hard to get evidence when theres a number of them at the table because without seeing their whole cards (which stars now will have used for proof) you can't tell when someone is giving easy walks, chip dumping, soft playing or making folds against all the pot odds etc....

    Its sad to see, as these players espcially the big winners would've been smart enough to beat the games anyway but call it greed or whatever they chose not to play straight-up to steal an extra edge - i guess for some that is life
