    Daily donkament at Showboat. I have a LAG image, but competent. Im known as a reg there.

    This happened to me twice in the same day. (Diff tournaments)

    Both times it was a few people from the bubble, it was folded to me on the button and both times I had 5 6 suited.

    First time both the blinds are fairly tight older gents with 18 and 25 BBs. I had 11BBs

    Second time small blind had 20 BBs and was tight. Big blind was old woman calling station with about 12 BBs. I had 9 BBs

    mathematicly, shove both hands. esp on the bubble most players will hopefully call tighter to not be crippled/ fold more cause they give you credit when you risk your stack on the bubble. if there are no antes then i tend to fold since it's pretty much the bottom of the shoving range (just saying that cause i dont know what showboat is, if it's a live tourney it's possible there aren't antes in play).

    Showboat is a casino in the US.

    And there were no antes. I did shove both times FWIW

    It's mathematicly wrong to push in both hands, however, since it's the bubble i understand why u would want to take this spot. It's very borderline, i prefer a fold tho since u cant be really sure what they think when u shove. Do they think u shove light cause it's the bubble and call wider or do they want to cash and are playing scared. This is not the sunday million ft bubble, if there isnt much at stake and there's no real pressure behind this shove i think it's a fold with no antes. If it's mathematicly correct u make a profit in the long run no matter what they have now, but it isnt correct with no antes and even with antes it's the bottom of the correct range, so both are folds imo.

    With no antes you were pushing a very small edge on the money bubble which is correct % wise on the hand but likely an ICM disaster. At 8bb you have to shove any 2 for sure.

    This, and they are both in the shove charts as shoves but live your image is so important I can also see an argument for waiting for better holdings.

    Which shove chart says it's a shove? Remember, no antes! Risk reward ratio is much worse.

    Yea I looked at a no ante shove chart and neither is in there. I assumed there would be antes when he said he was near the money bubble.
    I do see OP post further down the thread about no antes now.

    So with that being said fold both pre.

    If you think there playing to sneak in the money then shove with these sizes. If unsure i would just fold with no antes and getting near to the bubble, also having a lag image aswell.
