ok, question about shoving range from the button when you're short stacked. For the sake of the argument, you have 10.5BB's at the 1000/2000 200 stage of a tourney, aprox 60 people left. Both blinds have around 18BB's. 9 handed table, it's folded to you on the button, ypuve been at the table for a few levels and no one has gotten out of line, what are you shoving? I've heard some conflicting theories here, and wanted to see what people shove. A9+, KT+, QT+, 55+? Some people say shove any two. Some open up to any Ax or connector or face card. Question remains...what's your shoving range?

so you have 21000 and there is 4800 in the pot already, I would probably need an uno card and a get out of jail free card to shove.

I think I have a wider range than that, because hands like K9suited and J10suited are getting jammed every time.
I don't have a set rule for this, I go more on feel. But, one thing I've seen is that, even though the blinds think your bluffing, they don't overally want to call (I pushed a Q6 suited in a similar spot over the weekend into the table chip leader took all their time and said they folded a K9suited, and it was just too much to risk). This, and I play by the theory that, even if I'm called, most of the time, I'm playing ok. So, you take your Q10 and you get callled by AK, you still double up 1/3 of the time, and that double up puts you with a healthy stack. That is better than just waiting too long for a monster hand, then only getting blinds or you are in a 2-1 situation where, even if your hand holds, you aren't nearly as well off. -
I think it is completely dependent upon the blinds! Given no information, I shove 45s+ but doesn't include T-K with 2-5....just not my.
Also, this becomes more ATC as you get any lower than 10BBs....and if on a site with decent antes -
as 1 poster said im shoving like top 90% of the deck here.

I am also shoving almost everything. The blinds have to wake up with something good to call off half their stacks with. They know your range is wide but they also know it includes big hands as well.
