I am new to Ultimate Bet and discovered something in their replay function that I find disturbing. Apparently if you call someone's river bet, but then muck because you had the losing hand, it shows your hand anyway in the replay? Wtf kind of bs is this, and why? That's not a rule, how can they do this? Someone told me all the online sites do this but I disagree. Someone please clarify the what and the why.

in live u can ask to see the mucked hand if he calls river bet even if ur not in the hand jus no1 does it cuz they dont wanna be scumbags.
-
all online sites do this
im pretty sure that at a showdown techniquelly ppl have the right to demand to see the cards of the player who wishes to muck.
in live settings its never rly done but since players could ask to see the site makes it available.
if ur not at the table u cant see it though so there is that -
In 20 some years of playing live and/or watching it on television, I have never ONCE seen anyone ask to see the mucked losing hand....primarily because to muck literally means to throw it into the discard pile. How could you prevent the losing player from mucking his hand, what would be the penalty? He already lost the hand. It's unenforceable. Therefore it couldn't possibly be a rule.

Thanks, that actually makes the most sense of anything else anyone's said. Although even so proving collusion is about impossible....given the kind of nonsense hands people legitimately pay you off with! Plus anytime you mention such a thing on here they airmail your post to the "bad beats" bin & the poker sites just ignore your email, so I'm not sure what they're worried about, ha ha.

lol, watch more???

I used to play Commerce and Bike all the time and I play cash around Vegas and I have seen people ask to see losing players mucked cards numerous times. When some maniac finally gets it all in to see a show down I almost always hear someone say "Both hands please dealer".
Bad poker etiquette IMO -
WAT? dont believe you, sorry

and players are not allowed to put cards in the muck, at least good dealers know this.
this is the most abused and misunderstood rule in poker. -
You bet I call you show first standard..if I muck you can ask to see my cards....dealer is obligated to flip for all to see. I play a lot more live poker and while it doesn't happen that often I've requested the flip.. usually against some obno agressive jerk.
usually tilts them out advantage me. -
old people are funny.

Love this feature on FTP; you can see the donks calling you down with air, 2nd pair, etc...by hitting "LAST HAND"

Back in 07' I played 2-5 at Borgata pretty much everyday with the same regular who asked to see both players' hand every time on river. The dealer obv has to show both hands if asked but it caused so much shit between all of the players that after a few weeks I just avoided playing at same table with this guy if I could.
