    I looked over his record on thepokerdb the other day after mhoddi had mentioned him. I was extremely impressed. around 200k total.

    It's not Howard Lederer. If not ranked, The Shrike should definitely be on the players to watch list. he's also a very classy guy and friendly at the tables.

    It is a jopke that guys like TheShrike and Mrsmokey1 arent even ranked or on players to watch?

    I know the guys here have a tough job ranking but cmon. Im not gonna be rude and name names but a lot of guys in the ''rankings'' arent near the talent of the two i mentioned above.

    Other then losing all post flop value for his hands by always opening for 4x at high blinds, meaning he will always face a shove he usually cant call or take down the blinds, so that a hand like A4 or KJ is basically the same thing as 27.... he is a pretty solid player. No idea what that 65 hand is though, lol.

    most if not all of the people ranked dominate multiple sites. Maybe Mr. Smokey and The Shrike do too, I only know of stars though. Am I wrong (serious question)?

    the shrike also took 2nd in the party 500k on sunday a few weeks ago. Very level guy, and a great player.

    I see Action, so basically with those 4x the blind raises he is giving good post flop odds for people to outdraw him and also when you play marginal hands with such a raise you are almost always getting the worst of it becuase of the fact that only a guy with a strong hand would call or reraise him....

    Post-flop odds has nothing to do with it and neither does "getting the worst of it" either. It has to do with bet size-- like why you don't generally open for 1k at 5/10. ActionJeff is saying that with high blinds, 4x is an unnecessary raise, because he either takes blinds (which 2-2.5 times will also accomplish) or someone pushes (because 4x is too much to flat call) and he can't call the reraise. Each time this happens, he's wasting 1.5-2 bbs.

    Oh dont trip, I can see where if he just raised 3x the blind he would likely steal basically the same amount of blinds, but would lose less when someone played back at him overall. Just asking thanks...
