  1. After how many games at a certain level should a person play before moving up in stakes? Do you guys play a certian number of them or wait till your bankroll is decent then jump up in levels?

I wanted to play 500 20 dollar SNG's then if my ROI was over 10% then move up but I was wondering about how you guys would do it.
Also how many buyins do you want before you move up?

I am a professional player and I was thinking about 50 buyins for the level I was playing. I am 75% a cash game player nl50-nl200 but I enjoy the SNG's on stars for a change of pace.

    Thanks in advance
  2. I'm pretty sure that at a 10% ROI if you're a professional you should keep more than 50 buy-ins. 100 sounds better to me. Anyway it's only when you have the bankroll AND are comfortable. Take 10 buy-ins and play at a higher level and see how you do.
  3. If you were a professional player, wouldnt you know this already?

  4. Thanks for the info Phänomen. PhiAlphaMTSU like I said I am 75% a cash game player and I just wanted input frpm other players on how many buys for sitngo's until its safe to move up.

  5. yeah it depends though... do you want to play them to make a living or just for the hell of it?

i agree though closer to 100 buy ins than 50 is a better idea...

  6. Basically I want to have my sitngo cash on pokerstars because I hate playing ring games there because of no Rackback. I will take out 200 a week for bills and and let the rest build up. 75% of my play is in ring games so this is like a little side project to see where it will lead.
