slight confusion on the Pokerroom $5k tourney

    This unique tournament has a buy-in of $5,000+200 and there are several different ways to qualify for the online final. Unlike other tournaments which allow a buy-in onsite, no professional players will be allowed to buy their way straight into the main final. Every player that sits at the final table in Barcelona will have made it their on merit as one of the Top 45 in the online final.

    I would assume that means that you cant buy in directly to barcelona.... but could this mean that you cannot buy in directly to the online event for 5k?

    I havent read all this...but from the info in your post I think they just mean they will start the tourney online(anyone can buyin for 5k) then when they reach the top45 they will finish live.
    and obviously only those 45 can play at the live event.

    You can buy-in directly in the ONLINE MTT, but cannot buy in to the live event in Barcelona which will just be the 45 who made the money.

    I can see where that might be confusing, they are just distinguishing this from any other online qualifier for a live event. Pretty cool idea IMO.
