  2. 1750 - 400 , you're at 1325 in chips and after the next blinds you'll be at 1125.

Have you been playing tight, just folding everything and not open pushing or open raising any hands?

As the short stack I would say you have to call. if you had a round of blinds (600$) more, then I would lean closer to a fold.... but I feel A2+ is in his range so you're ahead of his shoving range.

If you fold, the others will be aware that you are scared and will take advantage of you. You're the short stack and you're hoping to get a hand to OPEN PUSH with. The rest of the table will, if they haven't already, adjust to your situation and abuse you.

I've folded AA in this spot but I wasn't the short stack.

    Cringe call imo.
  3. His range SHOULD be way bigger than A2+...should be just about ATC, I think (I haven't run this through an ICM calculator to be sure). But Jay, I'm sure you're right that his range is at least that much.

Being the short stack, with 1/4 already invested, I think you have to call here. Win flips.

  4. Thank you guys,

I had been quite tight, it was turbo, and I called, but he had AJ and hit.

The guy who openshoved had done that a couple of times so I thought his range was very big.

I just didnt like the spot and wasnt quite sure if I should call or open shove atc next when Im first to act.

His range should absolutely be huge. Unlucky he woke up on the higher end of it.

    Here's the problem with waiting....

If you fold here, you've got 1325. After the next hand, you'll have 1100. Even assuming you get a chance to shove your button, the BB will have to call 700 to win 1725. He'll be getting 2.5:1, and will be priced in. You have less than zero fold equity.

WAY better to call now and be ahead of his range.

  6. due to ur situation this is a call

u said u were playing tight, u shouldnt ever rly allow yourself to be in a situation where after the blinds you will have no FE, which after these blinds with under 3 BBs ull basicly have that. you have to be much more aggresive esp on the bubble of a satty where proper calling ranges shrink due to ICM

i personally feel its practicly worth shoving basicly ATC with FE then to let the blinds go through u and know ull have to play a hand to showdown
