  1. What's your opinion? I've played a bit of pot limit Omaha tonight and admittedly don't really know what I'm doing but some of these other players seem much worse. Your thoughts?

  2. Omaha? Did somebody say Omaha? My precious ....

Ok, seriously, I have had a few private students lately playing
1/2 or 2/4 blind plo and on average we have made over $500
per session. I also had 2 low rollers who played .25/.50 and
    we made almost $200 each.

I still prefer tourney play for myself, but this is really a gold mine.

  3. I'm about to quit for the night up about $150. I played 1 table for 1 hour at .50 / 1 and another hour at 1/2 while handicapping sports and reading a book. I didn't pay any attention at all to the table (not that is is a good thing) and played a few too many hands. I just tried to flop the nuts or have a big draw to it and have someone give me their money or I'd fold the flop.

  4. I think it all depends on the game you are in. There are some tables filled with people who have absolutely no clue as to what is going on and will pay you off time and time again, then there are times when I can not make any money off my hands. I think game selection is a big key when deciding to play omaha. You cant make a profit when you wait and wait for that pat hand and don't get paid off. I always open up 3-4 of the tables and watch them for about 10 minutes, looking at everything from pot sizes, % of flops seen, and the cards of the players. By watching for this stuff I can determine if there is any money to be made at that table, or am I only going to win $3 with my nut flush that I've waited for. But to simply answer your question, yeah if you can get into the right game, omaha can be far more profitable than hold'em.
  5. Which sites are you guys playing?

  6. I LOVE Limit 8/b, I'm playing 5/10 right now as I type this. I'm up about $200 and just cruising along. I personally think they're much more profitable than hold em.
