  1. Which do you guys prefer. I much prefer smaller fields with 100-300 players in them. But I know others love fighting through 2500 players for the win.

  2. I always prefer my chances against < 300 players h0wever n0thing beats the satisfacti0n 0f beating 0ut 2000 players t0 make a final table 0r g0 deep.
  3. I also prefer less chips in play, and my reasoning is this. With less chips around, there is a premium put on making the correct decision each time you get involved. Also, if there is some crazy lucky guy getting lots of cards and running people over, he may very well be a poor player. If he gets involved in a bad situation, which they do typically, his big stack is worth a whole lot more now that there are so few chips in play. One other point is that the tournament will get down to the bubble sooner, and the bubble will last longer because the blinds are lower. We all know how important aggressive bubble play is to building a stack up for the FT, and again, those chips are at a premium. Thats just my view on it.
  4. I prefer the smaller fields.. I've never made a FT in a 2000+ field. I love playing them, the challenge of making a deep run into the tournament is always exciting but its hard man, haha. You gotta get the cards. I've played the party 40K alot, and i always get to around 200-300 before i get screwed through a bad beat and end up either making my money back or bursting on the bubble.

  5. I've played MTT's sparringly since June (minusn the last month) and have seen 6 final tables. The largest field I fought threw was about 800 players (I finished 9th); the other 5 were all less than 500 players. The only tournament I ever won was through a field of 312. Today I finished 2nd in a tourny with 306 players. So I guess if you are looking for my magic number of desired field entrants, I like the number 309.

  6. since turning to pokerstars from UB 4 days ago i have already grown to love big fields .. they are not that difficult to outlast (obviously you will take beats more often) but the payouts are incredible when you make the final table .. esp top 3 .. well worth the risk in my opinion..
