A little introduction, Everyone knows you can crush the internet while u smoke mad weed all day. For the majority of online grinders I know, smoking weed when u grind is the Norm. I also smoke piles of pot, def too much, but I feel like it is more then likely a benefit for the volume that I play then a detriment. However, I recently played a 1k live tournament down in San Diego. The whole time I was playing my thoughts would randomly be focused on when im smoking my next cigarette or my next bing load.

Another thing I have come across is that it seems to me, that the majority of Online players who have experienced major successes in the live poker arena seem to be the non stonerish types. If some players with experience playing the biggest live and online tournaments can shed some light on this issue please do! Im highly considering tryin to cut smoking out of my life as i make my descent on the live poker world, has any other player thought about doing this because of primarily the effects it could have on their live poker game? Shoot.

what exactly are you looking to get out of this thread? seems insanely pointless and is just going to make you look awful...

Its also pointless that straight edges are gonna come post in this thread lool...

Ughhh, the point seems pretty clear? Do all you live players that have alot of success live smoke when your playing live??? What was so insanely pointless and is going to make him look awful?

meh i've shipped 2 live tournies high out of my gourd, conversely i've also lost 40% of my stack in one orbit with 9 high.

marijuana's primary purpose is to control tilt/keep a positive outlook on the game...so whatever edge you may gain from smoking it when playing online is diminished greatly in the live arena

well if ur normally gettin high everyday, then I think ud wanna play live poker high too. Id think its a good idea to avoid getting too high right before play tho. Id also consider quitting greens completely, I used to smoke everyday and now I dont smoke at all, and I like life better this way.

I don't really like smoking pot at all, for grinding online, live poker, or just hanging out. But for every live tourney ive played pretty much ive gotten a bit buzzed/drunk. I have def had a similar thing where after about 45 minutes i think god damn im kinda bored....i want to go take another jager shot. But for my somewhat low-medium live tourney sample ive done pretty well and i do feel like drinking a bit helps me...and def makes it more fun. Not sure how relevent this is to this post but whatev.

its all about tolerance bruh, if you cant play without it then just blaze every break obv. but quitting smoking is just dumb and -EV dont let these noobs tell you different...and who cares about lung cancer we all die anyway

This year at the series I decided to attempt to play all my events w/o smoking. After about 2 events of being irritable as hell and pretty much not having a good time I decided to say F it and go back to blazing on breaks. It does def make you fiend for break time but imo it keeps me calm and tilt free knowing I will get to go get sparked on break.
