All right - I am not going to go on a typical pokerstars rant - but lately, or in general it seems, the SNG games, despite my moves to higher levels as a result of some good bankroll management and some play improvements that have allowed me to get away from donkey school (*and let me tell yeah, still fighting the ROI implications from the months of the lower levels) have seemed to have become so predictable and bingo like, with wild calls and stupid chases, that many of the good players I saw playing in these games no longer do. They have all gone back to strictly cash, or moved to MTT's - and some have even left the site.

I have over the last two months tried my hand at more MTT games, but not as many as perhaps I should. Wondering if there is some advice from some of the more experienced players out there for a guy who loves the game, and has lots of time between cancer treatments, to actually improve. I have had some decent cashes in some of them, but none of real consequence. I mean good to play in the Sunday Million and Warm Up and all, but making $600 or $1G for the effort is not what I am hoping to achieve.

There is a wicked proliferation of SNG sites claiming to 'teach one the way" and despite some best efforts, I am wondering if (a) anyone has found the changes within the SNG games and (b) do you think the flocking of more players to PS.COM because of the legislation has impacted the game?

More importantly, I would love any direction or advice from some of the good players out there on how to (a) get more of a focus and understanding on the MTT game (*Harringtons works have helped for sure, and the books are great...but there must be more...) and (b) what does one do about trying to find mentors or teachers that can add some direction and more returns to the game?

I greatly appreciate any advice, and welcome any comments other P5-ers might bring to the table. Failing that, I am going to try to find a goat I can maybe slaughter to the poker Gods so that I never have to watch three AA's, in consecutive hands, crack me out of 9SNG$215...

Cheers...
