I have the free trial of this program on my computer and its useful (much like PokerStove) it determining whether shoves/calls are +EV in certain situations, etc. However since I only have the trial version I am unable to input certain situations from MTTs (like if a player has raised beforehand etc). Is the full version really worth the $79 or can I just rely on using a stripped down version of the program along with PokerStove? Would anybody recommend getting the full version?

I wish I could help you out, but I purchased SNGPT three days ago and still have not recieved a registration key to use the fking program. Customer service FTW.

I use SNG wizard which does the same thing and I think it was worth the money. I never used SNG power tools, but I have heard many people say they like SNG wizard better. I would download the 30 version of that and see if you like it. I know that SNG wizard can only do single table sngs and no MTTs or MTT SNGs. So maybe SNG power tools is the same in that aspect.

You should e-mail support. Eastbay has always been fast when I had problems.

I've emailed him. He hasn't responded yet. I should try the forum i guess.

What do you nerds do when you play live? Bust out a calculator and figure out if you should call?
-
What exactly is your point of posting if you're just going to be a condescending prick?
-
Im seriously wondering. If you guys have a program the tells you when its a good idea to call or fold. WTF do you do when you play live? Do you sit there and think... what would my software program do?

lol arent you the guy who asked if shoving ak short handed was a bad play? maybe you should bust out the calculator
-
well jaybone the idea is to use the program for a while, learn how to do the calculations that way you can do the calculations on your own.
-
Well you could use the program to help your game (learning when plays are +EV or not) so that when you go to a live setting and are confronted with tough situations, you will (hopefully) have a good sense if what to do. These programs are meant to enrich your thinking process in order to help your game...not tell you "do this" or "do that" (lol ya they do that too, but its what u take from it that helps)
EDIT: Ronkend says it best -
Im also the guy who played for 5.5hrs to get to that point. All without software.
And BTW I asked if it was the right move... and everyone has told me it was.
So whats your point? -
noted.
-
That you're dumb?
-
lol
-
you realize that the programs are supposed to be used after the sng to evaluate your plays not during the actual play right?
-
I lold im with jaybone though
-
Don't be....sng's push/shove stuff can be worked out if you can estimate a guy calling/shoving range. Its a tool of study not to used while playing. Jaybone doesn't know that and I suspect he's probably not that good at sng's either. He forgot to take his metamucil this morning.
-
yea i think your right. I only have a 22% ROI over about 800 SNG's. I probabaly suck.
-
You use the software to learn ICM. To know situations automatically. Why would it be any less useful live? Its for learning away from the table so that you know it AT the table. I mean that srsly one of the dumbest things I have ever seen posted here.
