hello all i realize this is an online poker form but, I trust the advice I get
here so much had to throw a home game question at you.
10 person table 2000 chips to start out with. 8 out of 10 players by the book
a couple can get a little fancy.
blinds are 12 min long 25/50,50/100,75,150,100/200,200/400,300,600.......etc
Cant figure out a good strategy. Usually in a sng on line I would be tight early and
then open up later on. But with the rapid increasing blinds would I be better off
getting a little crazy at first to try to build stack before blinds get too big. Thanks
for all your help.

its been my experience in small, slow moving home games with fast blinds like these that you are going to be pretty card dependent. You may realistically go an entire night without seeing a decent pocket pair or any 2 broadway cards. In the event that you actually pick up a few good hands, they'll have to hold up. Bad beats will pretty quickly damage your stack for the night.
if you are allowed to re-buy in the first hour or so, it might be worth it to gamble some early to try to build a big stack. if there aren't rebuys, I'd be inclined to just sit back and wait for decent hands. pay close attention to the other players, too. you may find additional spots to pickup small pots against people that you can outplay. -
I'd play exactly the same as any sng, or really any tournament. You compare your stack size to the blinds and that dictates how fast you need to play. Since the blinds start a little higher and escalate quickly, you have to loosen up accordingly. That doesn't necessarily mean being crazy at first, you just need to play a wider range of hands as the blinds begin to escalate.
I think the two most important things in sng play are understanding how to play with large blinds relative to your stack, meaning when to push/fold as you get desperate, and how to use the psychology of fear of elimination against the other players on the bubble. Work on those two things and you'll be able to destroy your friends.
