Yes.....I the great warrickdunn needs a little advice here
ok i have played 135 100$-110$ SNGs.........120 turbo and 15 regular
I am all but breaking even at the moment and would like to hear some peoples thoughts and see if they can figure anything out by my results
here is where i have finished in my 135 SNG's
1st-26
2nd-11
3rd-7
4th-11
5th-27
6th-16
7th-16
8th-14
9th-7
ITM 32.59%
Win 19.26%
does anyone know what standard finishing breakdowns look like for the top players?
or why i always get 5th..............thanks! -
I am pretty sure that you would be way better off if you played 3 accounts in every sng. Give that a try and let us know!
-
Warrick Dunn, Congrats on being named the most over looked player in the NFL.....
-
can anyone analyze what my finishes in my SNGs SHOW??????????????????
-
Too small of a sample size to even begin!!
-
His sample of 30 where he was "killing it" a few weeks ago wasnt too small to discuss, was it?
-
well............pretend this is over a huge sample size and my numbers show this over 1k SNGs.........now wat does it conclude?????
-
Are we talking the poker player or the football player?
-
I am liking thewacokidd more and more every day
-
my WIN % is high but i dont get ITM a ton...........i dont get it.
-
ok fine, serious answer
playing too loose early? Your 7th and 8th places are really high. A lot of 5ths is normal, but your 6-9 finishes are a lot higher than normal. -
^ His cynical and blunt humor is catchy i must agree
-
ok good response, im thinking the reason for that is because its turbos i play so i find myself forced into taking a lot more coin flips earlier in a SNG than a normal SNG if that makes sense, that could be the reason.
-
obv a brag post
-
I dont even play turbos, but isnt that something you want to avoid doing early on? According to that Jay Shark thread anyways, taking coinflips early in sngs is not optimal play.
Have you worked on just sitting back and becoming a pushbot when blinds matter?
Are you a pxf member? Do you watch any of the higher stakes turbo sngs?
Idk, just maybe look at other styles in the $500 - 1k sngs and see what works best? -
well......blinds get higher earlier remember.......so in turn it becomes an almost push fest with 6left bcuz blinds will be like 100/200 or 150/300. so i guess that answers your sitting back being a pushbot question, im pretty much forced into these coin flips 5-7 handed sometimes.........I do capitalize when i get ITM tho, i just need to get there more i guess is my problem.....
-
Warrick I'm a turbo sng push/fold expert, I'd offer you advice, but you are a total d-bag, sorry kid...
-
too small of a sample. + 5th place is where I also finish the most often
-
^ WOW ^
Harping on what Waco is saying, there is almost no reason you should be in 7 coinflips in an SNG. I rarely get in 7 coinflips in an MTT. This just seems ridiculous. I think your pushing too often too early, and sounds like you are calling too often late. Or something like that, IDK, just woke up, confused, etc. -
Why don't you just keep doing what you were doing for the first 41 that you played? That way you will continue to make a ton of $$$ with a 70%+ roi, like you had before. What changed? Sounds like you adjusted your game and now it isn't as good.

LOOOL -
If you are playing optimally(if that is a word) in sit and gos you should not be busting out 44% of the time in 6th through 9th place. You are obviously playing WAY to many marginal hands early. I dont care if it is a turbo or not. And you are OBVIOUSLY getting lucky sometimes early which probably accounts for your high win percentage for 1st.
-
you are going for the kill 5 handed it looks like, use a tighter hand selection here, and possibly wait to loosen up til the true bubble comes, remember you cant win a sng with 4 other players left, im pretty sure im right because you have a very high win rate compared to your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finishes
-
You play way too loose 6 and 5 handed, instead of tightening up and waiting on your hands. You push mediocre hands far too much to sustain a respectable table image, and sometimes it works for you perfect and everyone lets you dictate the tables play, but when they dont you get fucked. Ex. Raising 120/240 to 600 on the button yesterday 5 handed with A rag suited, and getting shoved on and calling. I don't play the higher limits as you do, but i.m.o you are playing way to loose too early instead of JUST on the bubble, when your style has normally always been TAG.
-
I just play low limits, but from my own stats....looks like you're just playing too loose too early, like mentioned above. 1st and 5th are my most frequent finish positions, with 3rds next, and then 2nds and 4ths. I don't finish 7-9 very often or even 6-9 very often. Again, I don't play high limits so the game may call for earlier play there, I don't know. Just going off personal experience.

For best results, a Player should have 20 or more games played to get an idea
of their skill level. If so, here is how we suggest you analyze the data:
<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=3 align=center border=0><TBODY><TR bgColor=#222222><TD>Players Win Percentage 40% or higher</TD><TD>Player is a Pro</TD></TR><TR><TD>Players Win Percentage 35 to 40%</TD><TD>Player is Very Good</TD></TR><TR bgColor=#222222><TD>Players Win Percentage 30 to 35%</TD><TD>Player is Slightly Above Average</TD></TR><TR><TD>Players Win Percentage 25 to 30%</TD><TD>Player is Slightly Below Average</TD></TR><TR bgColor=#222222><TD>Players Win Percentage 20 to 25%</TD><TD>Player is Below Average</TD></TR><TR><TD>Players Win Percentage 10 to 20%</TD><TD>Player is Way Below Average</TD></TR><TR bgColor=#222222><TD>Players Win Percentage 0 to 10%</TD><TD>Player is a Fish</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> To qualify for a win, a Player must finish in the money, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.
An ITM of 32% represent's that your a shitty player who was on a heater last week and now is coming back down. -
Yea, I think 5 handed when blinds get big i try to take over, and most of the time it backfires on me. Ill be playing more today and hope to update my progress.
-
um ITM stats are basically worthless
It's all about ROI...
