Id like thoughts on how to fix this. 437 tournaments of field sizes 46-180 I have +19 roi. 556 tournaments of field sizes 181 and more I have -53 roi. This is obviously way to much of a disparity and something Im trying to fix. Please no smartass answers like commit suicide or stop playing 181 and higher fields. Ive played awhile now and have read alot on the subject but obviously Im doing something way wrong when the field size gets bigger.

556 is not a large enough sample size to determine your true roi. you could win a tourament tonight and be positive roi.

this. My results were similar this year (+ roi on 46 to 180, specifically 4.40 180s really, -roi on 181+ mtts). Eventually I saw the + side of variance and viola! +roi in 181+ mtts.

ya i probably wouldnt look to make too many changes. biggest problem i seee most people making in big tournaments though is getting shortstacked midway through. theres a time between like the 150/300 lvl until the $ where people either spew off all their chips tryin to steal, or play to tight and are always end up on a shortstack. i wouldnt worry too much about bein a losing player until u hit 1500 games or so (although if u are playing lower stakes -53 roi at 500 games may be a signal of a leak, deff find ways to double up in the stages of the game i was talking about).
