Some Props to UB (for a change)

    UB has been practically giving money away for going on 2 months now. They've had like 79687698 reload bonuses in the past few months, the points for cash conversion has been extending over and over again, and I don't play tournaments but I see them increasing a few guarantees here and there. Up until about 3 months ago UB had been my "one and only" poker site for the 2 years I have been playing, but the lack of action in the higher level sngs forced me to spend alot more time on Full Tilt. Ever since then however, they have been going all out to win back former customers,bring in new ones, and keep the ones already their very happy. Meanwhile Full Tilt hasn't had a reload bonus since November (great site regardless), stars has like two bonuses per year, and UB is still rocking the best software (gameplay graphics, and speed) for about 5 years running now. So even though they may do many things wrong in so many of your guys eyes, you have to admit that the amount of effort and money they are putting into improving their site,their numbers, and their critics thoughts of them is very admirable. Its been far and away enough of an effort to get me back playing on their much more, although I admit it wouldn't have taken much to get me back to my beloved UB.

    All they need to do is fix their lobby, and make the bets easier to look at and I will play there again.

    UB does not have the best software
    their bonuses are lame

    best software- PS (FTP close 2nd)
    best bonuses- Bodog 10% every time and you don't have to play to cash it out
    best tourney structure- I like bodog and UB here dunno which i like more
    best support- bodog obv.
    best tourney line up- PS
    best SNG line up- PS
    best cash game line up- PS/FTP

    thats all i can think of all in all though i hate UB

    You lose all credibility with me when you say stars has the best software. Any site with the birds eye view makes me sick. Secondly, stars has so many pauses, between dragging pots, dealing hands, I can barely even sit through it sometimes.

    More importantly though, I wasn't trying to make UB a candidate for best site on the net, merely stating that they are doing much much better than most all other sites at trying their hardest right now. They are simply going all out with the free money giveaway-type promotions. You broke down what is best at what site for no reason, its about what each site does independently and all-together.

    I agree with Mr. Gobbles, UB has been doing a good job lately and I would encourage everyone to play there anytime.

    UB ownnns. by far my favorite site, and anyone that says the software is not the best doesnt know what they are talking about. I play 5/10NL and dont like to play super many tables so i can get some reads, with UBs fast software i can 2 table and see as many hands as if i was 4 tabling on stars. It is depressing however to see how the numbers arent increasing much despite the promos, at one time UB was the main high stakes website, now they rarely fill anything over 10-25NL. Still a good site though and one id encourage anyone to try.
