  1. i find myself thinking about poker whenever i spend money throughout the day. if i'm at a bar buying $6 worth of drinks (drinks are cheap as hell in champaign), i often think to myself "oh this is just one big bet at a $3/$6 table", and it's a lot easier spending money that way. i'd like to hear from both 'big timers' and low-stakes players as to whether they equate spending in terms of poker or just think about money as money.
  2. I do the opposite. When I go and lose 400 bucks at a casino, I'll just figure out what complimentary things I had to eat/drink and place a cost on them. If I lost 400 bucks but had 4 cokes, I'll pretend that I spent 100 dollars a coke. That was it doesn't feel like I lost any money gambling.

  3. lol gun. i do the same, except for one thing. i still count the cokes as free...but i tell myself that i tipped the waitress $100 per coke...and i go home feeling like i made her day.

  4. Hahaha...even better. I gotta try that one. That way I can be philanthropic while losing my ass.
