  1. Blinds 40/80k, my stack = 1.5 million Folds to me in the cutoff, I open to 200k with KQ dd, sb* moves in for 1.6 mill total. *He had moved in on MP open of mine 1 orbit prior, other than that he had been playing solid. My table image was probably below average for the table. Ultimately I tank folded and regret it. My question = Is open shoving here better? Would you call off in this spot a majority of the time based on the read that he is shoving any pair and prly A9+? Is folding the correct play? I took AA,KK, and QQ out of his range because I thought that he would make a standard 3 bet in that spot. Just curious, thanks for any input.
  2. open shove next time but here i just have an awkward feeling and would fold.

If you're folding to a shove, then yes I prefer open shoving. The thing about 3x'ing is it will get people to try and resteal w/ hands that you hope to have dominated.

You're 40% vs. that range (if your read is correct)

You really think he's making a standard 3-bet w/ those hands? I'm not so sure. I think that looks waaaay too strong, and (if at all) he should only be doing that w/ weaker hands to make it look strong.

Just curious, thanks for any input.

  4. If i'm not calling a shove I open fold, or jam. You need to post the full hh for us to rly get an idea of the dynamics cuz we have no idea what the other stack sizes were. Its exploitable to always shove with KQs here, but in this spot its probably best.
