So, I have a weird question when it comes to stacking your actual chips in live play. Does anyone have any fun variations on it? I almost always end up stacking mine in a triangular fashion with 4 behind then 3, 2, 1 forming a triangle and then start a new "triangle" on top. This way it makes it easy in 2/5 NL knowing all your bottom set of chips is $1k and if you complete the whole pyramid up on top it is $2k in $5 chips.
I always do this, or I stack them in 40's high tightly together.
I get bored a lot at the table and I constantly think of creative ways to stack them because I'm always finding myself having to do something to not go crazy after 8 or 12 tabling online, and I've played thousands of hours live but still!
Anyway. Back to the point, any creative innovative ways to stack your chips? :) -
Yeah there are only so many ways I can stack 3 or 4 chips.

looks like carlos was also a world class leggo player and was being paid by the strasphere for some very original advertising.

I only play online, so the real question is; how do you stack your chips while playing online?
-
I wish you would have never posted that picture Fife, now I will be trying to do what Carlos did all day. How did he do that? Looks like a tripod from that shitty movie War of the Worlds.

To me, that picture looks like the Space Needle in Seattle.

yeah it does look like the space needle

Question:
When Mortensen (or anyone for that matter) starts to take that stack down and it falls apart and some chips fall in the pot, do they stay in the pot? Does it make a difference whether or not he is involved in the hand?
If they stay in the pot, I'd be too paranoid to do anything like that. -
Stack you very much!

Or, how about then the beverage girl walks by in a mini, he snaps his neck trying to catch a look and accidentally knocks the thing over. In the process, his chips get mixed up with the players on either side of him. Worse yet, when it goes over, it takes out a few of the stacks of one of his neighbors.
Guaranteed I'd come out ahead in that deal...
Kinda reminds me of how some people try to "match up stacks" when one player is all in. On more than one occasion, I've seen a player spill his chips into his opponents stack. It usually takes awhile to get everything straightened out.
Do everybody at the table a favor...keep your chips away from everyone else's unless they're on their way into the pot. If there's even a remote chance that your chips could get mixed up with another player's chips, do everything in your power to minimize the likelihood of it happening. With that said, as to the chip towers like the one picture above...save it for Jenga night. -
or the CN tower in Toronto

I like to stack em 25 high with a green chip on top(I assume green is a 25$ chip everywhere) so each stack is 150 and I dont like the pyramid I like the wall. When I hit 1k though you have to start the pyramid or you start getting into other peoples space and I dont know about you but I always seem to be sitting right next to some huge dude that takes up like 2 spots. Now yesterday I played and got up about 800$ and I sold off 600$ in red to the dealer just to keep the game moveing. So then I had a nice little tower of green and I really liked that!
