  4. ^^^who cares. There should be 32 threads about this. These superusers made millions and UB kept quiet even though they knew about it. This is a huge crime and without drphil jr and others who were robbed and smelled a rat, we would have never found this out.
  5. ^^^^ exactly! Best of luck drphil and the others that lost a lot of money to these cheating scumbags.
  6. however as under the agreement when downloading the software "it is an inherant risk" to play online as with any site.

So, Does the site take no responsibility here for protecting there customers? By the way he said this, it's like when you download this and someone on the inside that can see your cards and f's you over, it's not really our fault.
  7. That line is so fing great! I guess that means that the owners and high ranking employees steeling from you is just an inherant risk like losing your internet connection or something. LOL.

Plus they say the stolen money is gone so GFY about a refund.
  8. I find it funny that he mixed up persecute and prosecute. I believe it will be hard to prosecute, but boy, will they ever be persecuted.
  9. do you honestly expect UB to pay this...I would never expect them to pay the diferences...because what if the superusers woulda won regardlessly due to dumb luck...I know its messed up but we cant expect UB to compensate for everyone who lost money there?

Just think if you ran the company and people wanted you to put up a few mil cause your software engineers Fed up, would you be quick to pay them?
  10. you're joking right?

  12. No, really he does have a point. If I robbed a bank should I be punished? I mean, after all, I could have bought a lottery ticket and won a bunch of money.
  13. Yes I expect UB to play back their customers. If they expect customers to deposit any money on their sites. I have to feel like I trust the site, and my money is protected there.

I haven't played on AP since the scandal there, and i doubt I'll be playing on UB much anymore. AP payed back the customers, but I still don't trust the site. I don't trust how they tried to cover it up, I don't trust how they denied the fact that a super user account was impossible to begin with.

If it wasn't for overwhelming response from the poker community, AP would of just swept the whole thing under the rug. I think the same thing was going to happen here.

What looks like was going to happen was UB found out someone was cheating, but they were going to keep it quit and not refund the players.

    I find that very dishonest.
  14. Why would Phil hellmuth want to expose this anyways? Is he not invested with UB and stand to gain monetarily from its success? This would be -EV for him and the further commercialization of his personality.

  15. ...because it's the right thing to do?

  17. Pm Me tomm Dr. Phil, I'm pretty sure I might know one of the "super users" I played against some guy playin heads up one day about 5 months back before UB resized the tables, could NEVER get him off a hand he bet big, and would call my all in's with nothing and hit.. I specifically remember one of the hands was a 700.00 pot and I flopped top two, flop came like k, 9, 6 rainbow, I bet out say 25, he repopped a decent amount say 70 or so, nothing to be pot committed, i pushed all in and he called about 300 and had like 2 5 or some crap, and the guy hit running 5's.. and had like 3-4 hands within a 20 min period that he called that made no sense that ALWAYS hit for like $400-$1,000 pots.....

Another one about 5 min later called another huge all in with nothing at all and hit runner runner for the straight draw.... I put him on my buddy list and he was playing 4 tables, and was up big on all of them, and was insta playing every hand... I def thought something was up, and I'm never at all the "paranoid" type, but calls for that amount of money, were just way to out there.... I'll have to look up the name, but I'll bet my life he was one of them...

I used to play about 30 hours a week on UB before that, and I don't think I've played 30 hours total since then... and I do still have plenty of money in my account.. I just felt so sick, and for the first time ever that something fishy was up....
  18. ccalling with nothing and hitting is not the mark of a superuser
  19. don't want to sound like a complete idiot here, but can someone please tell me what a "superuser" is?

Is a computer, or a person that has hacked the software? something else?

    Thanks

    Boot
  20. Let's hope 6 months down the road we don't have a similar thread that includes pokerstars or Full Tilt. It's becoming more and more difficult to believe that online poker is +EV. I'll keep working on my game at PokerStars and FullTilt. I enjoy playing online and really hope neither one of these two major sites have any nonsense going on.
  21. A super user is someone who has an account that has access to whole cards. They have no control over what comes on the flop, turn or river, but the knowledge of knowing others whole cards pretty much makes it impossible to beat them.

They believe that sites have super user accounts to check software and such. You can't play on these accounts, but someone can open an account, then access the super user account from another computer, and open it on the same table they are playing.
  22. Dexter, I figured someone like you would pop up.... If it happened once, or twice, where he called 300-400.00 with nothing, I might say ok, but calling hands with 5 high's and no draws, and mysteriously 2 5's pop up.... and thing's like that.... I'd say something's up.. and like I said the guy made 3-4 calls like that, within a 20 min period where the calls made 0 sense... and had no draws what so ever but would hit some crazy runner runner crap.. maybe I am just being paranoid, but him doing that, and being up big every single time I watched the guy play.. and haven't seen him on in months..... Who knows.. But sounds a little fishy to me....
  23. Phil Hellmuth suggests MULTIPLE superusers. How many people have this sort of access to this kind of software? So many questions went unanswered after the AP scandal and it seems like they got away relatively easy...i mean where the fuck is scott tom now? Not in Jail where he should be.

These people are getting away with crimes that would result in MAJOR consequences if they were legitimate corporations instead of "offshore gaming sites"

FUCK UB, THEY KNEW OF THIS BACK WHEN POTRIPPER WAS REVEALED AND THEY TRIED TO SWEEP IT UNDER THE RUG.

They will try and weasel themselves out of this one too. IMO These crooks will continue to get rich unless websites, including this one, take down advertisements and we as players need to simply stop playing there.
  24. Uncanney, I highly doubt these are related at all however post the name and I could check it out real quick. I highly doubt if somone had superuser access they would waste their time at 1-2 and 2-4 tables.

  25. If I had superuser access I would 100% stick to the 1/2 and 2/4 tables.

Why be greedy about it when you can easily dominate those games and just look like a solid player.

Obv the call with 2 5 doesnt look solid but you get my point Im sure
  26. Actually from your response im about 95% sure your case has nothing to do with this. As stated earlier, a guy calling an all in drawing near dead to your hand is NOT indicative of a superuser, its indicitive of a donk

  27. With all that has happened I would not rule out manipulation of cards. If a super user can exist so can other stuff. The idea of a super user used to be scoffed at.
  28. agree, seriously doubt cheaters can manipulate the cards to come
  29. I don't think it's fishy he isn't around anymore. More than likely he was making bad calls and getting lucky. Well if he continues to do it, he's going to go broke in the long run.

I see poeple make assinine calls all the time and get lucky. You millions of hands played online everyday, you are going to see some odd stuff happen.
  30. it is negligent on UB's part to let the superuser account get into the wrong hands, of course they should be liable.
