Up until this point I was playing a TAG style and wasn't opening alot of pots. When he check shoves he's giving me almost 4:1 on a call. What could he possibly be ahead of to make that play? Read on villian was that he was playing pretty tight. At first I think he's just a bad player but when I look him up-totally different story he's in top 5% rated players on UB. Am I missing something here-besides the fact he might think I'm raising ATC in this spot? -
Even assuming he has napkins, he would have you get you to fold a little more than 1/3 of the time in order to make this play. If he felt you would fold that often, his play is sound.

many 'profitable players' do not deserve to be. nobody should be ever betting and folding the flop with 5bbs behind, so its almost as if he's raising for value with Q high. really the only thing he might get to fold would be complete air like 8 high offsuit lol. that being said, if you have to bet and call off with an 8 high flush draw, then you should open fold pre flop

i hate everyone

He flatted 10bb with QTo....if he's a winning player he musta shipped something big and is on his way down...look again in a year.

i mean, it is UB. you dont exactly have to be westmenlo to beat tourneys on that site. at least im under that impression. i dont actually play there
when i check a players stats, its usually after ive seen them do something pretty sketchy. if theyve made money, i look to make sure they didnt make it all in the sunday 200k or some gong show micro rebuy, then i check his itm and if he busts out early a high percentage of the time. some dudes just gamble like crazy, finish itm 6% of the time and go deep every time lol
