    He wouldn't even take a $20 HU challenge Boris offered to do instead of the flat $20, after he refused to pay up after Boris made it past 500 players left. The guy's a loser. swish3278 ---- he should pay, he made the bet, he brought it up, I was railing Boris the entire time.

    Sounds like he made a flippant comment, not a bet.

    For a bet to be valid, you should have confirmed that he meant it first.

    Conversation should have continued:
    You: If we have a $20 bet, say deal.

    i believe it says something in the constitution about online gambling chat is legally binding. Somewhere near the 39th ammendment i beleive, not sure i dont take the bar until tomorrow.

    Jennifear,

    I respect what you have to say and agree with you that this guy probably says things like this all the time and to him it is a flippant remark. But should you be able to run around throwing out challanges with terms and a dollar amount attached and not be called to task for it, at a live table do you think that he could get out of this without looking like a welcher. As for saying "DEAL" or spitting in our hands and shaking or something else to seal the deal......well thats probably a good idea for any important bet........which this was not.
    This post has nothing to do with the $20 and everything to do with how accountable people are for what they say, in person or online.
    Maybe I'm naive but I happen to think that I am responsible for the things that come out of my mouth(or that I type on a screen) and would not have hesitated to pay him $20 if I did not make the top 500. I don't need the $20 and I'm not chasing it because I do, I see this more as a matter of honor. Bottom line to me is don't say it if you're not going to back it up. Too many get away with to much online........just my opinion.

    as for degenrat...ur an idiot sir nothing else to say.
