Okay, so i'm in a stars 22 180 man, and i've just shown down KK twice in the last 10 or so hands, charging my way back up to having a final table average stack. I also had a note on lucky from earlier saying "always calls BB, always bets out"... now given that info, what do you think of this play?
Seat 1: nafadl (35014 in chips)
Seat 3: HERO (36768 in chips)
Seat 5: fairladysdad (8425 in chips)
Seat 6: krazykarl (33165 in chips)
Seat 8: lucky ODIN (32782 in chips)
nafadl: posts the ante 75
HERO: posts the ante 75
fairladysdad: posts the ante 75
krazykarl: posts the ante 75
lucky ODIN: posts the ante 75
krazykarl: posts small blind 800
lucky ODIN: posts big blind 1600
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to HERO [Jd 7h]
nafadl: folds
HERO: raises 3200 to 4800
fairladysdad: folds
krazykarl said, "good to know you didnt have kk"
krazykarl: folds
lucky ODIN: calls 3200
*** FLOP *** [6c 8d 6d]
lucky ODIN: bets 4800
HERO: raises 27093 to 31893 and is all-in
lucky ODIN: calls 23107 and is all-in
My thinking was that i'm playing to have a scary image for the final table as well as a sizable stack. however, this field seems pretty weak, and i feel just having an average stack at the final table would be a great position for me. disregarding the results, is this a +EV move or not? -
I really don't like the idea of risking my stack on a bluff when you would have a great size stack going into the final table.
Put yourself in ODIN's seat. He is probably going to get the idea that are trying to push the table around before the FT.
I also doubt that he is going to fold if he caught a piece of the flop. He's getting 2-1 odds on his call with the chance that you are bluffing.
