Recently I have had trouble with my pokerstars Account. I usually Deposit with my bank card and cash out via neteller or firepay. However, after I sent this e-mail to support (below), I then realized I couldn't deposit using any method. The matter was cleared up rather quickly (response e-mail below). But have any of you had this problem? I still don't quite understand what the problem was. I transfer money between close friends mainly and have never had a problem. What would qualify as an "outstanding finacial matter"?
>Hello, I have been depositing with the same bank mastercard for over 2
years now, and as of the last week it has been declined each and every
time I've attempted to deposit. I have made no errors in entering
information. My bank shows no "ban" of "PStars ECash" or "PStars-IFUND" so
its left for me to beleive Pokerstars is responsible. And also, lately my
funds transfers to other players have been "reviewed" or not processed at
all. These events are very unusual and I've never experienced this before.
Please explain any problems you may have with my account.

POKERSTARS RESPONSE
Hello Douglas,
The reason why you have been having trouble is due to a security flag that
recently appeared on your account. There was a very loose connection
between your account and that of a player with whom we have an outstanding
financial matter.
I have reviewed your account and cleared the security flag. Your account
has now been fully re-instated.
I apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.
Regards,
Bob

Eerie resemblance to the shit PayPal pulls.
EDIT: See great reply below. This is many company's scheme for recognizing fraud, etc. -

This is red flag #1. They don't want to tell you but you would be flagged as part of their money laundering/credit card theft algorithm. Not that you were laundering/stealing but that is why flag #1.
Something is up with your buddy that is flag #2.
You have a high affinity score with your buddy because of transfers and/or playing together. (good sites are always tying players together with what is called an affinity score but they may call it something else internally....as Bob said "loose connection")
The computer adds flag #1 to flag #2 holds ur account and waits for human intervention (more flags possible if you have some other squirrely activity).
Very similar to when your credit card company calls you or freezes the account because of irregular activity.like a trip out of the country but you have never been beforeand no flights or hotels have been put on your card recently. Standard stuff.
In the end, think of it as a good thing. They are trying to keep out the scammers and every once in a while they get a false positive. Glad they cleared up so quickly for ya.
