    This post shows my internet is working, but FTP and stars just connecting, was only in couple so no biggie, just wanted to see if I am only one being affected.

    Well if you're not really tech savvy, it's a routing issue possibly. Say you're in AZ, but your internet first bounces over to FL, before hitting TX, then over to the sites. If one of those bouncing stations are down, it can really take a toll on going through another place, it can start to bottleneck, and you'll be DC'd if at all connected.

    you can use tracert to find out if there is a hanging server along the way. If you get a * * * instead of like 140ms 80ms 29ms (or any numbers), that means there is a problem.
