  1. Has anyone in the past or recently had any luck in changing their stars screenname? I sent a few emails to them and got the same answer each time. They cannot change it because their is no security issues with my current ID on stars, and they don't allow changes unless security is the issue. I stated that a number of players seem to have their screenname changed from time to time, and I did not think one request by me would be a big deal but no go from them. Just wondering if anyone has had success, or just started another account with the name of their choice. I'm not sure if you even can. Do they have some rule about one screenname per address or email address? Thanks, Mike

    Let me see.

    Your ex wife knows you play poker and she has access to poker stars to see how much you are winning or playing. As a result, you may have to quit, because she can have your alimony increased.

    As such, you want to change your name, so you can play in peace.

  4. I tried a 100 things last year and had no luck. I do not see why it is such a big deal. They won't even let you change your aviator more than once, i think it is stupid, who cares if you want to change your name, aviator.

  10. LOL at WaveyDee! Not so lucky to have a wife yet, or tremendously lucky to not have one should I say. Yea, I don't know what the deal is with stars. No changes unless your roll is 8 figures or so I guess. No biggie, just thought I'd give it a shot. I'd like to know if you can close your account like phantom said, and then reopen a new one though. I'm just ready to start playing again on Stars, soo tired of Bodog, Western Union has my dough, gotta grab it tomorrow, head to the bank and then throw it all into Epassporte via debit card. The guy at Bodog asked my if there was any particular reason I was withdrawing all funds from Bodog. I just kinda laughed. Take care.

  12. I have changed my avatar a few times. just email them and ask nicely. should be no problem.
    Not sure about the account name tho, if they let one do it, they may be swamped with
    requests to change screen name.
  13. i have not done this myself obv as i still play as phantom but i have heard of it done if that helps. if not i gotta go with the guy using his wife as an excuse idea, that sounds pretty good and if that doesnt work ur prolly SOL

    When you opened your pokerstars account, there was a message in the
    dialog box stating the User ID would be displayed each time you play,
    and cannot be changed once selected. To be fair to all players, we
    must enforce that rule equally for everybody. To close an account in order
    to open a new one will mean doing the same and, therefore, it's not
    allowed. I am sorry that we cannot accommodate your request.

  18. ive recently done this

    just ask them to freeze your old account
    then when its frozen then make a new one from a different comp with a different email address
    then change your email address to the one you had with your old account, and support will likely freeze both accounts temporarily,
    this is when you tell them which name you want to play under

    but it might depend on which support member answers your email because i did this pretty easily and i assume from reading the posts in this thread that others have had difficulties
