Cash games - via their website
- 20-50 bb, with default buy-in of 40bb
- 40-100 bb, with default buy-in of 80bb
- 100-250 bb, with default buy-in of 200bb and ante equal to 20% of the Big Blind
Great job with all the changes -
Does anybody know if the new structrue will include all ring games?
ex. 40 bb min. -
I think it will include all ring games except for fixed limit. 20-50bb tables, 40-100bb tables, and 100-250bb w ante
-
bye bye shortstacking for the most part
-
didn't notice that player notes feature at first, that's nice and convenient
-
just noticed a $27 but no guarantee.
please put guarantees on these and 3k starting stacks please stars -
Those KO tournies are exciting. Had to send supprt a request to raise transfer limits, but the notes and KO tournies are really cool. stars is soooooo classy...

from 2+2:
Heres a summary of the changes in todays software update.
Changes to NL/PL Ring Games
Weve made some major changes to the buy-in ranges available in most No Limit and Pot Limit ring games. The new ranges are:
- 20-50 big blinds
- 40-100 big blinds
- 100-250 big blinds (with antes)
We have also increased the time in which a player is required to rejoin a table with the same stack from 30 minutes to 60 minutes.
For more information about these changes, see my colleague Steve Ds post.
Knockout Tournaments
In Knockout tournaments, a cash bounty is placed on every entrant in the tournament. Every time you eliminate somebody, you win a cash prize! In a knockout tournament, every player pays an extra entry fee, which serves as that players bounty. For example, a knockout tournament might have a total buy-in of $20+$5+$2, of which $20 goes into the regular prize pool, $5 is each players bounty, and $2 is the tournament fee.
You can find knockout tournaments in the lobby, marked KO or Knockout or type these words into the tournament filter to quickly find them.
KO tournaments will be rolled out slowly in the coming weeks. You must update to the latest client before playing a knockout tournament. Oh, and in case you were wondering, SCOOP Event 12 is a knockout tournament.
Changes to Heads-Up Ring Games
Weve made four important changes to Heads-Up Ring Games:
If you sit out continuously for five minutes, youll be removed from the table.- You can now sit at a maximum of two Heads-Up tables without an opponent.*
- Table names are randomised, to eliminate any advantage to sitting at tables with names beginning with A.
- Players who attempt to abuse the system or make the Heads-Up games unpleasant for others may be banned from playing at Heads-Up tables.
More Notes Improvements
Weve combined all of the notes settings in one place, Options > Player Notes. In this dialog you can add new notes; view, edit and delete existing notes; edit the notes categories and colours; combine multiple notes files from more than one machine; and change the location of the notes file on your computer.
Responsible Gaming Limits for Tournaments
You can now choose your own maximum limits for scheduled tournaments and Sit & Gos. If youre a ring game player and dont want to tilt off all your money in tournaments after a bad beat, this option is for you! You can set a limit in any of the four supported currencies by going to Requests > Responsible Gaming > Restrict Tournament Buy-In Limit.
Special Multi-Event Satellites
In the coming weeks, youll notice some special satellites appearing which award seats to multiple events. This is how they work:
- Each satellite has up to five different target events, all listed in the Tournament Info section of the lobby.
- The first time you win a satellite, youll be registered in the first event listed.
- If you win another seat, youll be registered in the second event listed. If youve already won a seat in that, youll be registered in the third event listed, and so on.
Note that multi-event satellites dont affect your ability to unregister from the target tournament if this would normally be permitted.
More Time Zones
We added new time zones for Alaska, Hawaii, Newfoundland, and India.
Gender-Restricted Tournaments
Well be running special ladies-only and men-only tournaments in future, so get ready for some interesting battle of the sexes promotions!
Themes Improvements
There are number of improvements to various table themes in this release. One such change is to stop the players action from obscuring their chip stack in the Slick themes, a change commonly requested here on 2+2.
Let me know if you have any feedback. I hope you enjoy the new features!
Best Regards,
Alex Scott

to be fair, it was almost halfway down the 1st page, pretty hard to notice it all the way down there -
deep stack with antes is SUPA tight. i hate those stort stack SOBS anyway...
-
so i just noticed the knockout tourneys on stars are single table only for sit n goes are they going to be multitable ? if so the 4.40s 180 mans will be great if they do this

i am guessing today is the first day for the KO tourneys on stars?
Please dont do this, if you do stick to the STT -
Just play on fulltilt if you want knockouts, stars and fulltilt dont need the same tourneys. I was upset when they introduced 90 man SNG's on stars, it takes away from there bread and butter 180 mans, NO MORE KNOCKOUTS. Regardless of what Bryan S says, they slow the fill time for other tourneys.
-
KO STTs? Thats probably the dumbest shit I've ever heard.
-
It says they have them but I cant find any? Are they not up yet?
-
Will someone explain how this is an advantage:
"Table names are randomized, to eliminate any advantage to sitting at tables with names beginning with A." -
its a start... obviously they'll spread.
-
I think they will be a hit in the micro games. I like them and will definitely play them.
-
yeah i like the idea too... but i'd like to see them in MTT version.. that'd be sweeeeeeet
