So Im gonna make a small deposit tomorrow, 200-300 dollars. Not much but I play (or used to) entirely live. Just recently my dad had surgery so I want to be closer to him and no casinos around and I was offered a great job I dont think I can pass up. Im still gonna play, just more seriously online. When I used to play it was 75% on FTP and 25% stars. Ive heard many problems w cashouts from FTP and their support sucks. Stars support is awesome. Ive heard cake is soft and can get a good rakeback deal. So which should I choose?
Stars
Pros:
Have small stakes sngs that run round the clock (ill have to start w these till I get to 1K so I can play cash)
Better Tournaments all the way around. fields, selection, just more of them.
support is awesome
alotta cash game tables
seem to have options to cashout; check, wire, maybe echeck or something else
Cons:
No rakeback and nothing comprable till you reach a certian vip level
tough cash games w many regs for the most part
all i can think of off the top of my head, any others?
Cake
Pros:
Softer cash games, sngs, and tournys from what i hear.
rakeback
have lee jones
smaller tourny fields, presumbly soft?
Cons:
not a ton of players
dont know about the cashout. how long, or the options
which should I deposit on? any more pros and cons (besides rigged, obv its all rigged) -
how about 150 on both and play stuff 3 and lower but if i had to pick one then it would be stars. id pick ft over cake also
-
cake has ring games running around the clock (only hold em and omaha) and have enough players for mtts to make em worthwhile. also the fields are smaller so its easier to go deeper whereas stars has so many runners its alot harder for the average player.
also the rakeback you get goes along way espeically when you are starting out.
that said, with cake you have to have a fallabck site, cause it fucks up a decent amount lately. right now no tournies or sngs are running and haven't been for a week. they've identified the problem and are working on it but still its annoying.
so yah maybe a little on both. -
pm me if you choose cake

AUTigers, hows the cashout process?
-
i would give UB/absolute a shot. small mtts fields, micro buy-ins, rakeback, and real fast cash outs. requested a western union withdrawal and had it approved in 25 minutes. also requested a check by courier and have heard that they only take 3-5 days.

Ive got the usemywallet option but haven't used it yet.
To answer OP, I love Cake and really don't play much anywhere else.
Never had a cashout problem and their customer service is easily #1 -
how long did it take to get usemywallet? i've been playing there for prob 10 months 5 tabling .5/1 and playing their bigger guarantees and still nothing...? customer service is good tho, usually respond within 5 minutes or so
-
I believe I had it from the beginning and Ive only been there 6 months or so playing mostly 50nl.
-
how are the sngs? do the low stakes run consisentalty?
-
cashed out from cake last tuesday check was at my house friday i was impressed
-
I think Ive played >700 sng's, mostly the $2 and $5 DON's.
They certainly don't fill up like they do on stars if thats what you mean. -
I want to amend my above post.
Less than 700< sng's
I dunno, Im an idiot.
