I'm in college and just play poker for some extra money. Typically I'll put in 2-300 and play whatever I feel like. Usually when I double my money I cashout and then deposit again when I feel like playing. I don't generally follow bankroll rules b/c the money I put in is replaceable and I have a real job. I'm looking to make an extra 1k/month and am looking for suggestions as to which would get me here with as little variance as possible. I need to make $250/wk. I'm open to cash games or tournaments. Any suggestions?

lolol.
we dont know what yur best game is. -
steady income usually comes from cash games or a game with fixed variables meaning 180's, 60 man, 45 man sngs and putting a ton of volume in at one level

Without giving some more information, it's pretty much impossible to give suggestions. Not to mention, BR Management would help your game whether you think so or not.

play what you can beat and are confident in and play within ur role.

that sounds good, when you find out how to do it you should let me and everyone else know. Poker is a grind, there is good and bad variance you cant play and hope it will come in like a paycheck. Just play whatever game you are best at and hope yu are good enough to have enough good weeks you can cash out every 2 months or so.

w/ no bankroll rules, play $100 Hu's and go 6-3 every week

If you're even remotely profitable at any stakes 50 bucks a day, 5 days a week is very doable. Honestly, full handed .25/.50 is almost free money for 50 bucks a day. Its boring and you should play 4-6 screens at a time but its a great BR builder or side income producer.
Warning: by no means is this fun, easy or glamorous. I used to use this technique as a drinking fund and was very successful without evening being that good. -
if you are even a remotely decent heads up player, you can destroy the .25/.50 NL heads up tables. I ran 40 bucks into over 600 playing at work last week and didn't even break a sweat. If you can't make 50 bucks a day playing those then quit poker immed

very true. 50 bucks is not much money to make a day. If you are willig to put in 3-4 hours then you should avg at least 50 bucks a day 100% even if you are just above break even.
