So tonight in the HU superturbo my opponent was sitting out/disc. whatever....and i stole his blinds til he had like 10 chips left.
In this particular situation I think it would be silly of someone to not steal my blinds if i was sitting out.
Whaddayathink? -
stupid if you give up free money
-
I think stealing in superturbo's is ok. You can't wait til teh blinds are huge. If they aren't their its their fault. Anything else I wait a little tho, but not in a superturbo.
-
nope i wait, i sit out too.
yah right, i'm stealing as many as i can until he reconnects, free $$$ i'm taking it -
What if its a reg in a sng that you play everyday do u sit out then?
-
if its a rando then raise every hand.
live is totally different, no comparison really-
I do remember in the $25k hu on tilt that Grinder was playing David Openheim and he used his whole time bank up and stalled till someone alerted Openheim. He got like 1/3rd his stack by blinding and I believe that Oppenheim still came back to win. -
did you lose the round and thats why you are posting?

im always taking the edge, its not easy to find such a good one these days. -
basically this, in a superturbo i may give it a hand or two, then take them. in a normal one, i would give it a little more time. i guess prob a level in each maybe.

cant stand the people that steal right away. especially when it is mid match. we play internet poker, disco's happen, give each other a break every once in a while. -
See how can someone say what is the right thing? We are all playing for a couple things #1-monies, #2-Titles, #3-confidence, etc... among other things. But IMO afer about 3-4 hands I go to Options Click Auto muck and get to min raising. Cause I know exactly what you stated in the OP that it is obv that someone would do the same. And if they didnt it would be amazing.

maybe if i knew my opponent would do the same for me i wouldn't do it but i wouldn't even expect good friends to wait for me
i just don't understand extending the courtesy to people when you have no idea whether or not they'd do the same for you, seems ridiculous -

no im posting because the opponent was a well-known reg and told me to go fuck myself when he sat back in lol

just curious if ppl really think this is slimy because i certainly don't -
And the survey says..."Take money take money money"
-
the day u sitout and wait for someone is the day u dc and get fucked. i wud only wait if i had someones aim / cell #. wud call them to see whats up. if not, fk it.

I watched belowabove get disco'd when he was hu in an FTOPS. The russian raped his blinds for a few rounds until he rc'd and it actually made me kinda sick to watch. I don't know either one, but enjoyed it when below called him a POS and the guy started apologizing all over himself. I'll never be hu in an FTOPS, but I'll sit out for 5 minutes if ever in that situation. Works for me.

Can't say I really agree with you here Berleez. Vs. a random or if you dislike them, steal away...but in something like the nightly 102/101 hyper HU's on PS, giving another regular a courtesy like 15-30 seconds of folding ur buttons back to them seems like the only possible answer...would you really blind me down?
And btw if it's a reg i play with every day, i def wait even if i've never spoken/interacted with the person. Money is money, but its such a small small amount of money/equity that ur trying to gain that it seems unreasonable to quickly steal another regs stack.
fwiw, i forget im playing and time out of various rounds of the HU's on the regular, and it's std to be stolen down and you shouldn't expect any different. But I'd like to think that among some regs there is just a slight amount of respect to give a guy 15 seconds if he's pissing and not actually away from his comp/sleeping/disc'd. -
Recent thread about this on 2+2. Some good discussion on both sides.
