    i checked because i knew imnotsogood would take a shot at the pot if i checked also. i was planing the same check raise. any other thoughts on how to play this hand?

    You should fold.

    It's a sng, and you've got only 60 invested, 1440 behind, and the blinds are only 10/20.

    Too much action to do anything but shove over the top, and way to early in the sng to shove over the top w/ only a draw.

    Fold and continue to play.

    he has 150 more than 60 invested (so 210) along with a four flush and two overs. i shove here, but i busted 9/9 in the only step 1 i've ever played. I can't see why anyone would fold this, though, but I'd love to be enlightened.

    I don't see how this can ever be a fold. True, against at most five hands you are in pretty bad shape (AA, KK, and sets), but you have redraws on all of them. Against everything else, you're golden. Maybe this is just me being over-aggro, but I don't care how much you have/have not invested here, I think this is one of those opportunities for you to build up a monster stack and coast. SHIIIP ITTT!

    EDIT: In response to these "ranges," obviously these are not the only ranges. These stats show that against even some of the best hands, you have a ton of outs. Against a more realistic range, obviously your percentage goes way up. Point of these is not to show the only possibilities, but to show that against even some of the worst hands, you still have a ton of leeway. And since I would hope no one would slowplay AA, KK, or even QQ in this situation, I think you are facing some kind of combo draw here.

    Against AA (obviously with no diamond), you are a 64/36 dog.

    what kind of ranges are those?
    There's no way the person in the blind has AA,KK or QQ
    he has a set most of the time or maybe something like j10d
